Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) held an event regarding the start of the 2024-2025 season. AVF president Shahin Bagirov, vice-presidents Faig Garayev and Bahruz Guliyev, general secretary Faig Orujov, members of the AVF board, employees of the federation, club leaders, representatives and journalists took part in the event organized at the Hyatt Regency hotel.
Opening the event with an introductory speech, Sahin Bagirov welcomed the participants. He spoke about the activities of the AVF, gave detailed information about the results of the last season of the national championship, as well as about increasing interest in volleyball in the regions, projects implemented in the direction of the development of children’s volleyball, and other work done during the year.
At the event, videos related to volleyball, as well as the results of the last season and events, were shown.
Later, the drawing ceremony of the women’s and men’s national cup and the High League competitions, which will be held within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”, started. First, detailed information about the cup and national championships was given, and a presentation on the rules of the competitions was shown. It was reported that the national cup will consist of group (two groups) and playoff stages. In the championship, the teams will compete in four rounds and a playoff stage.
Then the competitions were drawn.
At the end of the event, the questions of media representatives were answered.
